Can you source different colour ribbon to those you have in stock on the website?

Yes of course we can. We buy our ribbon from several sources. We have colour charts available to help match particular colours. These orders may incur a stocking charge depending on the volume ordered.

Can I send my own ribbon to you for pleating?

Yes we offer a pleating service for standard knife pleat, wide knife pleat, box pleat, double box pleat and elizabethan ruffle.  We will give any ribbon a go! However some ribbon – particularly the softer cheap ribbon does not pleat well through our machine.   This may be suited to being backed with one of our metallic ribbons as we have found it seems to firm up the ribbon so we are able to pleat it.
There is a minimum quantity of 10m of unpleated ribbon be sent  per colour for this service as we need some ribbon to ‘test’ the pleating and set up the machine.  The reason for this is that all ribbon pleats slightly differently, even a difference in colour may alter the set up of the machine for pleating.   This is due to the different dying processes at the factory.  Some colours require heavier dyes be used and thus the ribbon is harder or softer depending on colour.

Single and double sided satin will also pleat differently.  Double sided satin will give a ‘fluffier’ more rounded pleat in both box and knife pleat, while single sided satin gives the pleat a more crisp defined pleat.

Can you deal with large quantity orders?

Yes we certainly can. There may be a lead time of a two to three weeks required if we dont have enough of a cooour in stock and to pleat it. We also offer a discount for bulk orders – please contact us to discuss.

How do you deal with urgent orders?

If you require something urgently please contact us either by email or by leaving a message at checkout. We eill do our best to dispatch same day if order is placed before 12pm NZ time.  We post daily so your order will be dispatched by the next business day .
